The moment we've all been waiting for is
finally here -- fresh
neem seeds will be delivered from Mexico for shipment starting
July 2. We're
getting the seeds from the same grower who sent seeds last summer.
Germination here was our best ever, but some customers still had problems.
Rather than taking the time to test them this year, we're putting them in the
mail as fast as we can. Hopefully that will make it possible for everyone to
enjoy the sight of a baby neem tree peeking out of the soil. We
still have lots of seedlings from last summer's seeds, so we'll do a special
on seedlings and seeds - buy one seedling and get the seeds for
half price. We've been running short on our other plants -- including tulsi, gotu
kola and chaya because
demand exceeded even our wildest dreams -- but we've posted what we have on hidden specials on the
website, along with a limited number of full-sized neem trees, so
people who have been waiting patiently get first dubs on them. The
plan is to ship as many seeds as we can through July 15, then plant the rest
here so we should have some sprouts in four to six weeks. Like many tropical
plants that grow in locations where cold is not an issue, but voracious
insects are, neem seeds are in a race against time the minute they ripen. If
they're not planted within 30 days of harvest, they probably won't sprout. Recognizing
that we haven't had a sale since before the holidays, we also have some great
