April Special Sale
While prime garden season in winding down in Florida, it’s the perfect time for planting across most of the country. And as you’re outside digging holes in healthy soil, check out our April specials:
- Buy a NimBioSys EPA-registered biopesticide and we’ll send you a bar of neem soap for free. The full-spectrum oil needs an emulsifier to stay mixed – we think that using neem soap makes it even more effective. Check out this article from Frontiers in Plant Sciences to see why some of the world’s leading scientists think neem should replace synthetic pesticides.
- And while you’re outside working, take care of your skin with a sunscreen made without any of the ingredients the FDA is now calling into question. Through April, buy a tube of tinted sunscreen and we’ll send you either an Extra-Rich Neem Oil Lotion or an All-Natural Facial Serum for free.
- And don’t forget the soap! The special sale on all six varieties expires on Monday – we know, just in time for you to get outside and get dirty. Six bars should last you through the warm months though, and you’ll save $10.00 if you order now.
Don’t forget that you MUST follow the links in this email for the specials. They don’t show up on the main website – they’re only available to people who read our newsletters!
Update from the Greenhouse
It seems to be warming up across most of the country, so we’re shipping everywhere very northern states. California plants are finally clear so they should go out first thing next week too – we know you guys are itching to get your plants in the ground!
Open Gardens Next Weekend
It should be perfect weather here to start things like Everglade tomatoes, cleome, and native flowers like gaillardia – stop by the farm at 602 Ronele Drive in Brandon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to swap plants or seeds and tour the greenhouse and pollinator garden with us. (We have plenty of milkweed seeds but a limited number of plants – the caterpillars have been especially prolific this spring!)
Coming Soon!
I was searching for something else and came across an incredible report on neem and Alzheimer’s in rats in the International Journal of Applied and Basic Research originally published in 2013. It’s super-scientific so we’re digging our way through a translation, but you can check out the full report now (or wait a week or so for us to figure it out!)
Have a fabulous weekend – I’m delighted to say I’ll be at the beach with highs in the low 80s (wearing Stream2Sea sunscreen)!
