Description
We’re not comfortable with the labels on these new soaps, but we’re delighted with the soaps themselves. Unlike the soaps we’ve made in the past, these are made with hydrosols instead of extracts. . Hydrosols are a byproduct of distilling essential oils so they’re 30 to 50 percent more concentrated. At the same time, they’re far more gentle than traditional essential oils that can burn sensitive or broken skin.
We’ll post more photos soon, but they’re made on a carbon-negative farm and manufacturing facility by our Mayan partners in the Yucatan. They sent us several different scents but we’ll start with the neem, aloe and citronella version. We’ve been using it here — it doesn’t smell like citronella but it works like it. *
We have limited quantities to start — it’s all hand-made in small batches — but we’re getting back on a roll and should have a great supply soon.
